ThredOn® Spread ‘N Seal is an economical non-metallic thread compound for production and drilling connections. Recommended for both drilling and production, the compound applies easily in a range of temperatures and conditions. SPREAD ‘N SEAL is resistant to washout and will not harden or bleed excessively in storage. Meets or exceeds all relevant API and ISO standards.
ThredOn® Spread ‘N Seal contains a high percentage of amorphous and synthetic graphite, as well as other inert solids, in a high-temperature base grease formulated with antiwear and oxidation inhibitors. In addition to the galling and seizing protection provided by the solids, SPREAD ‘N SEAL can be used on production tubing and casing providing sealing up to 10,000 psi. SPREAD ‘N SEAL also helps to provide the load-carrying capability required by the high-bearing stresses present in rotary-shouldered connections. It is recommended for all drilling and API production conditions.
