60% Lead Drill Collar Compound

ThredOn® Heavy DC is a heavy duty drill collar compound containing a minimum of 60% atomized lead powder. Heavy DC is resistant to vibration, contraction or expansion of tool joints and can be used as a lubricant and sealant for all threaded connections. Heavy DC prevents metal to metal contact, eliminates galling and seizure of threads. It provides a tight, leak-proof seal under high temperature and pressures and protects threads against corrosion. Heavy DC conforms to the requirements and standards of API Spec. 7, Appendix F, May, 1979.
